19 years in the CDMSBL............A bunch of titles and MVP Awards - The New York Giants celebrated Bobby Bolt's retirement by presenting him with his NY Giants HOF Award on Saturday October 25th at the big team bash at Pete Geannelis' digs up in Bennington, VT.
To those who have played with/against Bobby, know he's a tough competitor and isn't afraid of the big games. We are definitely going to miss him next year (I'm hoping he misses playing and calls me in June to say, "yea, this retirement thing isn't working out for me".
So, we just wanted to let everyone know one of the good guys has hung up his spikes and it really is a loss to the entire league.
I'd say. Bobby will make an appearance at the annual Old Timers Game but that's actually every Sunday for 16 weeks.
Here's to you Capt. Bolt

bob - congratulations. a well deserved honor. wouldn't be surprised to learn of more to come.
the league loses a fine player, but parker gets a fine coach. best to you both. - mike
p.s. i hope steve's right and you hang up this retirement thang. in case you (or anybody else) is wondering, it ain't so bad playing into your creaky 60s. just do your stretches, eat your fish oil and you're set. the rocking chair alternative ain't all it's cracked up to be. -m.
Class guy on and off the field. Great competitor and also did our country proud with his military service. CDMSBL is a better league with him in it. Enjoy the golf clubs, Cap'n Bolt, and congrats on being elected to the Giants hall! jimk
