Maybe not on the hill this time around, but as he does every season come playoff time, he comes up BIGGGggg yet again...
Fulfilling his new found Extra Hitter role to the extent that he hit not one, but TWO mammoth HR's in a tightly contested ball game on Wednesday night at Bob Moore.
He smoked a solo shot off of me in the 4th to give them a 2-run lead at the time and then after we'd cut it to a one run lead in the 6th, he went yard off Crazy Mike Thompson (who is no longer a Met after his ridiculous antics) with a 2-run BOMB to essentially seal the deal for the 3-peat Champions...
Obviously a team game and Mick has an incredibly talented young group of guys who all were on their game and we wish them best of luck in defending and looking to 4-peat against the powerhouse #1 seed Indians of Jimmy "Bones" Bonaparte...
I'd also like to publicly apologize to the Dodgers team for that situation as they are a great bunch of class guys and were rightfully jacked about Shookie's Bombs that obviously swung the game in their favor, so of course they were cheering for their guy... We don't condone Thompson's actions in any way whatsoever and I thank the Dodgers for handling it as they did so as not to let one loose cannon ruin it for everyone...
Good Luck guys on the 4-peat march and Great Playing all the way around as I guess Shookie obviously ain't done yet, just has a different role now ~ hitting bombs and knocking runs in instead of keeping the other team from getting 'em!
