Polo Grounds - Sunday - 9:30am - on a beautiful sunny morning -blah blah blah.........

The New York Giants put together a couple of good offensive innings to beat the New York Yankees either 13-1 or 14-2.

Pitching and defense is what wins games (no secret). Mike Kane and Bobby Bolt tamed the Yankees through 6 innings.

Offensive Giants Standouts: Carlos Llera - 3 hits and some RBI's, Jan Friedman continues to crush the ball - couple of hard hits, Pete Geannelis added a couple of hits and Joe Burns ended the game with a bases loaded triple.

Next week, its the New York Giants vs. The Yankees West (aka The Bombers).
