Please remember to be sure the tarps are placed back on the field after your games.
They were not replaced Sunday evening and the clay dried out and cracked around the plate area and pitching mound.
Also, it is NOT the responsibility of the home team to replace tarps. BOTH teams are responsible. Work together and it will get done much quicker, especially since many of the weighted bags that hold the tarps down are pretty heavy.
On behalf of the Shaskys, I will apologize for not placing the tarps on the field. We had a 2:30 game at the Satellite field and then a 5:15 game at New Scotland. In our rush to get over to New Scotland, we just didn't think to put down the tarps.
For the record the home plate area , mound and basepaths were all like the UTAH BONNEVILLE salt flats during our game. Don Ball tried hard to help and watered the field before our game to not much prevail. I didn't know that there wasn't a game after us either , but I apologize as well
