Royals move to 5-1 with victory over Cougars

The 45 Royals jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the top of the first and never looked back in route to an 18-5 victory over Cougars.

Royals starting pitcher Samarija pitched a scoreless first then rolled an ankle running the bases in the bottom of the inning and was relieved by Bill Farrell. Bill went the distance and pitched well.

I don't have the book so i can't name names but the Cougars #2 hitter had a day with two dingers .... although one was "Jose Cansecod" over the fence when the Royals left fielder had the ball in his glove as he hit the fence but it popped out when he went over the fence and landed.

Royals move to 5-1 and face the Sox next weekend.

The Cougars batter who smacked two home runs is CDMSBL rookie (and fellow Columbia County resident) MICHAEL HAMILTON.

P.S. HANDS OFF HAMILTON, you thieving managerial scoundrels!

P.P.S. Royals correspondent John Corrigan had a pretty fair day two, with a double and some exceptionally smooth play at short.

Won't do any good even if we do get him Jon, he won't be able to hit any more homers off of me anymore if we're on the same team!!!!

Hamilton is a very good player. Frank told me he has him signed through the 2025 season! So, hands off! Good catch Frank.
