Late start to the game........late comeback win by the New York Giants 8-7
Marlins Highlights: Mike Girard had a nice day - bomb and a double! Mike also threw 4 good innings. Ronnie Lochner hit a ball 3' off the ground that almost dislocated Joe Burns' shoulder - that thing was raked! Randy Craft had s big hit in one of two Marlins big innings.
Giants Highlights: Carlos Llera - two hard hits (one just missed leaving the yard). Bobby Bolt - two hits (one started the 5 run 7th inning). Mike Kane earned his first NY Giant game pin - two hits and threw the last 4 inningys to get the win. Marky Mark Dabney - clutch hit in the 7th inning. Jan Friedman hit the ball hard again this week - ending the game with a line drive that escaped Marlins 3rd baseman's glove - fuego!

It was a gorgeous day at New Scotland to be playing ball!
Mike Ferraro was 2 for 3 in his first game action in 2014, for the Marlins. The Marlins are grateful to have him back contributing after shoulder surgery.
It is always fun when these two teams get together, and this was no exception. The Golden Marlins held a 7-3 advantage entering the bottom of the 7th inning, but 4 hits one walk and 3 Marlins errors contributed to the Giants comeback victory. Tony Nardacci had the most clutch hit in the rally: a 2-out game tying single.
I can't wait until the June 29th double header between these two teams. It promises to be a great day at the yard!
