Blue Jays Bring Gloves and Arm, Forget Bats

Tradition Field #6

John Weber channeled Greg Maddux, throwing a 9-inning gem and fielding his position like a gold glover. But the Venezuelan Profesores had their own hurler, and he kept the Blue Jays off balance the whole game. Blue Jays mustered consecutive hits only once, leaving runners on second and third. The only Blue Jay error led to an unearned run in the first. Profs sores turned 3 sixth inning singles into a 2-0 lead, which is where it ended. A well played game all around.

After a short rest, it's game 2.
