Yes, the BlueJays are going to Florida with 8 of our Albany players(one had to pull out due to a knee injury) and several players from our 45+ division. I also have players who have played for me in the past down in Florida and a few new players. They are as follows:
Artie Gianakos - 1B, P, DH - BlueJays Mike Surin - C, SS, P, OF- BlueJays Paul Post - 3B, P - BlueJays Curt Tucker - CF - BlueJays John Weber - P, IF - BlueJays Pat Alston - 1B, OF - BlueJays Bob Hiller - 2ND, OF - BlueJays Tim Borwick - 2ND, OF - BlueJays Jim Tesorio - P, OF - Shaskys John Cortese - OF, P - Dodgers Adam Zafran - INF, OF, P - Cougars Emilio Cruz - C, 3B - Yonkers Luis Contraras - SS, 2ND - Yonkers Rich Eagleson - OF, P - Alabama Ivan Piniero - P, C - Puerto Rico Ivan Ferrer - P, OF - Puerto Rico
I'm excited about our prospects down there as this team has pitching, defense, and a balanced lineup. Anyway you look at it it's a great bunch of guys and will play hard to be a good representative of our Albany league.
Good luck boys, Art make sure you let somebody else bat 3,4,or 5 in the batting order. I know in the old days you used to do all 3 at once, but those days are long gone brother. Go get em guys.
Pete
About 12-13 years ago after a 30+ game Jack Coleman came up to me and said I'll be hitting when I'm 70. I laughed not figuring I'd be around this long. He might be right. Your right Pete those days are gone especially in the 45+ division. As for Mr. Smith, if I had any decent legs left the 2 hole wouldn't have been a bad spot.
But thanks guys for the well wishes and ditto to you Jimmy and your team as well as the guys hooking up with Maine.
