The New York Giants moved onto the semi-finals by defeating the Blue Jays 3-1 and 12-0.
It was a chilly and damp morning
Rain rain go away thank you very much!
Game 1 Bobby Bolt continued to come up big on the mound. Capt. Bolt (hes an airline pilot we call him Capt.) didnt throw two pitches the same speed the whole game, had excellent location, holding the Blue Jays to one run!
Rich Gar-Gar-GarGar Gar.barino (Welcome Back Kotter reference) missed the middle of the plateall day throwing the entire game for the Blue Jays. Rich did a great job working the corners and mixing speeds. Nice work, Rich!
Not a whole lot of offense to report on for game 1
Game 2 New York Giants pitcher Pete Geannelis kept the Blue Jays in check - no runs in four innings (was relieved in the 5th).
Pitching and defensepitching and defense!
Big Hitters for the New York Giants: Wayne Phillips, Mark Dabney, Jan Friedman, Pete Geannelis hard hit doubles Bob Bolt, Mike Labanowski, Tony Nardacci multiple hits!
Next weekend: New York Giants vs. Reds. Should be three competitive games! Both teams have good pitching and good hitting and good fielding and good guys and stylish uniforms and good hygiene (very important for those post-games hugs)!
