well we played tonight at shuttleworth park and what a game it turned out to be! Yankees score 1 in the top of the first to take a 1-0 lead BUT in the bottom half the Highlanders score 3 quick runs off Yankee starter SMitherman and having a sore arm brought in reliever Herrlett. who already pitched Cg in game 1 on monday. Highlanders dont wast anytime Jeremy blasts a 2 run hr to take a 5-1 lead! Yankees start to rally and close the gap throughout the game off highlander starter Marshall! BUT after hitting 3 batters exit marshall and enter Stud Bosco and throwing gas! Yankees hitters piece together a few more runs and take the lead but the highlanders didnt quit and regained the lead late in the game! Yankee hitters start a rally Herrlett with a lead off dribbler up the middle JJ Jansetsky hits a single herrlett steals 3rd and yankees regain the lead 9-8. Bottom 7 with the help of an error put the 2 hitter on base after 1 out and brought up Jeremy again who already has a HR and hits a deep blast to right center and Marshall coaching 3rd sends his runner on 2nd lookin as if no chance for the right fielder to catch the ball and LOW and behold comes up with it THROWS TO 2ND for a game ending double play! that makes 2 game ending double plays in 3 games! Next game tomorrow at the BOB SERIES TIED AT 1-1 good luck guys
Yep, definitely an exciting, F-U-N game for sure... More fun for you since you won of course, but man, a see-saw battle between two, good, evenly matched teams is what the playoffs should be about, and it absolutely worked out that way last night... And THAT's why there's a game three!!!
