After watching the playoff games just concluded in the 55 division, I'm proud and happy to see how well this division is coming along from a competitive point of view. All teams have improved and I'm sure will continue to do so. What an honor to step out on the field and play the game we all love. Which brings me to my next point. I don't know who votes on the fellas to be put on the ballot for HOF induction, but I would like to see Bill Kervan considered for a spot in the hall. His record speaks for itself, and a conversation with anyone who has played either with or against Bill would be hard pressed to say other than that he is an excellent teammate and competitor.
I agree Pete: I played in 3 divisions this year, and faced Bill in the 55 campiomship game. His breaking pitch was electric, Shookie exempt, the best I've seen all year. I saw it for strike one and thought -oh no. HE BANGED IT ON THE THE BLACK ALL NIGHT. I've had my share of 0fers, but there was no shame in this one. Joe Carrecia umped behind the plate and called a great game. To perform as he does at his age,--- at any age, makes me stop and take notice. He is a gentleman, a big game winner, and garners my vote.
