C-Diamond is a real gem!

Playing two games at the C-diamond yesterday was a real pleasure.
The infield is even and well kept, and the dugouts are roomy and do a great job keeping you out of the sun (or rain).
Anything that we can do to play more on this field, and the B-diamond (which has had lots of improvements since the last time the CDMSBL used it), would be well worth it!
Thanks Mark!

Remember Rickey Henderson's crazy tirade at a post-game news conference (or wherever the hell he was at the time)...
"Rickey know baseball ~ Rickey know baseball!"
Rob, you must be forgetting that I also got all our new young bucks for our MUCH more fun, MUCH more competitive 35 Highlanders...
And I recruited the new studs for my 45 team that have turned us from pretenders to actual contenders as well... I don't count the finals loss my 45 rookie year 2 years ago ~ it was a loss and second place kinda sucks really...

But more importantly, I have the smartest, funniest, hottest wife a man could ever ask for, the best daughter on the planet, and a GREAT career where I call all the shots and do as I please and have more money then I'll ever need... That's not even counting all the years in the Army and coming back home alive and intact to play baseball for fun...
So yeah, I've gonna have to go with the facts saying that I've tended to get the far more important things right in life my Hamlet brother...
Just saying man, just saying... And yes, I know it was a joke (and it was funny) ~ just clarifying for the masses as damn, you gotta read my prayer above!
And people read things VERY differently ~ kinda like stats!

And as fate would have it, thanks for saying thanks Mike, I appreciate it... Most of the credit really goes to Q for turning me on to a prospect who just so happened to be not only a good athlete (he played QB for the local Maulers semi-pro football team) and funny as hell, cool, great teammate ~ but also the Director of Schenectady Parks and Recreation... It's a political position and appointed by the mayor, so it might not last forever, but he even helped me smooth things over with the situation from this weekend when it could have blown up in our faces... His name is JP and he plays 2nd base and pitches for the Highlanders Mike, so introduce yourself and tell him thanks as he'd appreciate that I think... Any of you guys who do so I think would be cool as I also want to give credit to Ray Demers for sending a very thoughtful, kind e-mail expressing his personal apologies for the field situation on Sunday as that meant more then anything else I could have said and me paying lip service...
He says it's actually nice to have guys who care enough to want to take care of the field (even if we are not really supposed to) and plus he says us "older guys" (he's a young buck of 36 himself) are even more protective of the field in general then others in general...

He essentially ended the whole thing yesterday by telling me that yep, we are fine and not only welcomed to use it more often, but that he has most of August open and booked both the B and C for us to use in the Labor day Tourney as well!
B is not as flat (infield has a lip), but it's still a quality field and I am already in pretty close contact with Tommy (35's) and Scott (45's) for them to schedule more games on it as JP suggested as well...

And yeah, we played on C last night (lost to Big Daddy Kane's Pirates 8-6, good competitive game) and again, everything is good to go... He did say we should not put the tarps on as the sprinkler system apparently has a mind of it's own and occasionally goes on by itself under the tarps, so just leave them off... Plus some of the tarps are Union College's as Union put 250k into that field and they "share" it with the city... So there's a 3-way dynamic there to consider as well since Union College also has some say about the field and such...
But really, I think it's basic respect for the field and the game as I know you know Mike and I have complete confidence in you, Tommy, Scott, and most all of us to simply treat it as if it were our own and would want to see it taken care of...
If you guys want some try to get some of these 45 make-ups during the week there too, we obviously just go thru Scott so he can sanction it and do what he does... I've enjoyed working with him and am EXTREMELY glad to have him as the 45 commish...
Same with Tommy in the 35's of course...

Now if they'd only overturn my Mikey's suspension and let that thing die a bad death, then we can just ALL move on!
Ha...
Thought I'd throw that in there as Mikey is my good friend and golfing buddy as even tho he can't beat me ~ he keeps on trying!
And seriously, his part was so minimal in the whole escapade, I'd just like to see it go away and be forgotten as he is one of our league assets and has valuable community contacts on so many levels...
Ok, enough, but yeah, absolutely...
Let's use C Diamond more often as it is clearly one of the best fields in the area and we have very easy access at the moment...
