45 Reds over Dodgers

I don't have the book in front of me but i can remember our hits since there were very few hmm.

But the same could be said for the Reds as this was a pitchers duel until the bottom of the 6th.

Reds threw Chris Dunn and we countered with Darrell Duncan ...... At the start of the bottom of the 6th inning each team had 3 hits.

Dodgers struck first in the bottom of the second on a bomb from Bob Altobelli to put us up 1-0. Reds countered in the bottom of the second ...... loaded the bases and then Joe Careccia stole home before Paul Miles hit a sharp grounder to 2nd that would have been the third out and leave it tied at 1 but yours truly didn't make the play and 2 runs scored on the error to make it 3-1.

Dodgers got one back on another RBI from Altobelli and leave it at 3-2 entering the bottom of the 6th ..... A leadoff walk and a great bunt left two on with no outs .... after a steal put runners on 2nd and third with no outs we had a meeting at the mound to discuss walking the batter (cleanup hitter) ...... as i walked off the guys called me back out and i crossed the line for the 2nd time so we had to change pitchers (a managerial error to match my fielding error). At that point we had the infield in and got the grounder we needed but were not able to get the runner at home ... two times in a row.

Reds ended up getting 4 that inning to make it 7-2 going into the 7th and Dunn allowed one more hit and that was it.

We were off the field in 2 hours......
