Satellite Repairs 7/3, a few good men needed

On Wed. 7/3 at 10:00am Pete Geanellis and Scott Bonanno will be at the Satellite field to finish repairs on the mound and are going to cut the lip around the infield to help drain water from the field. If anyone can help them, please do. They will need a few good men to complete this task. You can email either guy or leave a note on this post. Thanks

The next teams playing on satellite field please inform us of how the field played. Scott B, Jimmy K and myself removed the lip from first base around to half the distance to second. Thank god for sod cutters! When we got there the pool at first was there but not the size of scroon lake. By the time we left much reshaping took place. We pushed a lot of dirt around. the skin was nice after we got done. The mound got another load of mix from mau. Just need to rake and tamp it after every game. Outfield will take a year but with the right tlc it should come around. Mowed it off with the striper mower. Looked like a ball field by 5!! Now we need rain to test the job! Not too much though..... Great job Scott and Jimmy!

Done jonny... Got an 18' diam med weight round tarp for the mound and a 26' diam round tarp for home plate already ordered. Should be to me Friday.. Also we have some sand bags to use that I had left over from previous projects. Jimmy k put those in the shed. We could also use spikes to hold tarps down but that requires the tamper to place or a hammer.
