Golden Marlins bounce back with a 8-0 shutout of the Black Sox.

The Golden Marlins came into this game at 1-3 for the first time in franchise history.
The Fish were looking to right the ship, and gave the ball to Jim Ansel for the start.
Jim came through "big-time", as he pitched 4 scoreless innings, giving up just 3 hits and 1 HBP, while striking out 1.
John Latorre followed with three shut out innings of his own, giving up just two hits and 0 walks, while striking out 2.

In the Marlins 3 losses their defense was "spotty." Not on this day! Just one error and two double plays, that erased 2 of the 6 Black Sox that were able to work their way on the bases.

Meanwhile, the Fish hammered out 12 hits against Black Sox starter, John Pologa. Ron Lochner led the way with a 3 for 3 day at the plate, scoring all 3 times, and driving in 1. Dave Mitchell had a double, single, a stolen base, and scored once, while driving in two runs. TJ Scorsone had a 2-RBI double, and Jim Ansel had a big 2-RBI single in support of the solid pitching and defense.

The Golden Marlins improve to 2-3, with the win, and next take the field against the Shasky's, Sunday (6/23) at 12:45 pm at New Scotland Town Park.
