So the Giants gathered as a team for the first time in three weeks - crusty, rusty and perhaps still carrying a heavy load since the passing of Mark Dabneys son, Christian. Mark is out for awhile as he tends to personal needs at this time. Were hoping to get him out for a big plate of meatballs soon.
The first two innings of the game, Darren Ambridge struck out four of the first six Giants hitters (UT-OH)! 3rd inning, complete turnaround, leadoff walk, a great wake up bunt from the Deer Hunter (Jim Whitford), a bunch of hits in a row, some hit-and-runs, some steals an error, etc.wa-la..9 runs!
The Yankees, tough bunch of guys that they are, chipped away with some timely hard hit balls to make the Final score Giants 12 Yankees 9.
Notable performances - Yankees: Jack Griffen Two hits, walk, 2 runs (this dude can hit) Lex Herlet Three hits (RAKE model R715) Mark Marshall (aka Marcus A.) Two hits, 2 runs, RBI (RAKE model R074) Kevin Jackson Two hits Don Dunham Two hits
Notable performances - Giants: Ron Smaka Two hits 3 RBI Pete Geannelis 4 well pitched innings (before running out of human petrol), a nice catch in right field ending what could have been a big Yankee inning, Wayne Phillips Two hits, BB, 2 RBI Mike Labanowski Two BIG hits, 3 RBI Doug Reisinger a perfect Hit & Run, another hit, RBI Mike Big Daddy Kane closes out the game with 2+ strong innings
The Yankees did beat the Giants in Hall of Famers. That score was 3-0!
Next week the Giants take on ...................hold on a second, Im looking it up..........................the Blue Jays at Rogers Center in Toronto a long ride for 15 guys in the team SMART Car but should be fun regardless!

That's a great, funny write-up Stevie! And yep, absolutely NO doubt about it... You and the Giants are still the class of the 45's ~ in more ways than one...
Looking forward to getting another few cracks at ya before it's all over with though, you know that, right???
