First, let me acknowledge Ralph Caputo. Ralph tried to field a sharply hit groundball off of the new and improved Satellite infield with his nose. Unusual method but yup, he sure tried. You were a bloody mess, man (Yo Adrian). Most of us would have packed up our gear and called it a day. Dude stayed in the game AND got a hit. We all hope you're ok, of course.
Onto the game and what happened; what happened was, new Giant Pete Geannelis hit a big fly that rolled to freakin Delmar and he touched 'em all. Wayne (party on) Phillips followed Pete with another long one that certainly would have been a four bagger had it not been for a lawn chair occupied by a soccer mom (how YOU doin?)
Total team win - Bobby Bolt threw three nice innings BUT was also the catalyst for the triple play that shut down the beginning of a potential Dodger rally. With dudes on 1st & 2nd, Bolt in Center, hard hit line drive to left center...........Bobby tracked it down, runners were off and running - Bobby threw a strike to Mike Kane at 2nd who had the presence of mind to quickly throw back to 1st. Wa-la .......TRIPLE PLAY!
Ron Smaka and Paul Scutieri hit scorching line drives, scored some runs, drove in some runs, had fun!
Jimmy K., fresh off the highway from an all night road trip back from SC, got the win I believe - threw two effective innings without taking a nap between innings - THAT'S why he's in the Giants HOF! .
Carlos (newbie) Llera singled in his first 45 division AB (drove in a run). Carlos and Pete G. are two great additions to the Giant's team this year.
The Dodgers are a great bunch of guys - it's great to see Chuck Sohl (man) back on the field.
Next week: New York Giants vs. Defending Champs Marlins at New Scotland.
Some battle for the Giants. Too bad it was not with the Dodgers. You guys must have been exhausted rounding the bases. Thanks for the concern from everyone .Gints,Gints wives, Dodgers, Dodger wives, other guys watching the game. Turns out Sue was home, so I couldn't sneek in my bloody mess. Xrays shows that the nose was broken after all. Pete was right... Does look like I went 12 rounds yesterday. My right eye is almost closed."Cut me Mick"

As i am often told on my fishing websites
"this thread is useless without pictures" title="biggrin" />
as Dodgers manager we have two things to work on ..
1 - using our gloves instead of body parts
2 - not running on fly balls with no outs ....... couple bucks due for the kangaroo court already
Great game by the Giants .... congrats to Steve on his victory in his managerial debut with the new squad
Now that's a recap right there! Stevie, you might have another career in sports broadcasting... And Ralph, you have got to be by far, hands down, the absolutely coolest guy in the league... I mean seriously, not just because of taking the punch like a champ yesterday, but your general "coolness" is only exceeded by Arthur Fonzerrelli... Who btw I believe wrote a nice article a few topics down under the pen-name fgfhfgfh or something equally nonsensical...
Lori, the other "guy'' retained its perfect spherical form after delivering that punch to Ralph's nose! And the ump never even threw the ball out of play! jk
