Looking forward to playing on the new and improved Satellite field. Nice picture on the home page of the work crew.....looks like union work with one guy in the middle working and 10 other guys leaning on their rakes!biggrin

i dont know what union you two fellas are talking about, but as a retired member of local 236 international brotherhood of electrical workers, i can assure you, that type of thing has never occured at any job site i have ever been on.sounds to me like a couple of boys who push papers around a desk all day long, contributing nothing to the GDP but paper cuts. i would put the work standards, ethics, and productivity of any union building tradesman up against anything you two could come up with any day of the week.

p.s.-if thats how great minds think i would not be bragging about it.

Yes Pete..a little too much. I know electronic communications can be confusing at times with the intent sometimes unclear. For your future reference any statement, comment or text directly preceding a green smiley face is intended in jest, in humor or as a joke. It should not be taken as a serious statement nor be responded to with personal attacks. I am deeply hurtbiggrinbiggrin

As a current member of a "home-grown" union of professionals who deliver technology services to area school districts I do appreciate your passion for organizations who represent and support our members and while I am not smart enough to determine how we may factor into the GDP, I am confident that the traits you allude to with your brotherhood would mirror our group.

I hope to see you soon at the ballpark and perhaps you, John and I can get together for an apparently much needed group hug biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

jim and jon,
i am so sorry if your feelings where hurt. sometimes my passion runs away with my idealism and i say and do things which i later regret. i am as we speak taking an online "emoticon refresher course" so that i will never be put in this terrible situation again. all i can say is i am sorry.

John is just fine....

Jon on the other hand ... i hear he is upset because his name was spelled wrong biggrin

Perhaps we used the wrong term but the image of one guy working with twenty guys watching jumped right out at me and i found it kinda funny evileye

Hey Pete,my brother was an electrician on Long Island, Local 3, I think, and a Marine. It's funny how when someone takes a jab at the brotherhood(leathernecks or union), the boys don't take it too kindly.
He would have said the same thing.
I think what Jim and John should have thought was "state workers" standing around one rake.
