October 26, 2012 - James "Jimmy K." Konstankatis was inducted into the Giants Hall of Fame as its Inaugural Member. This was a surprise to Jimmy - he had no idea he was going to be presented with this honor but his entire team and a few others disguised an "end of the year meet up" surprising him with the well-deserved honor. Those in attendance: Tom & Beth Maney, Pete & Monique Gennnealis, Mario Arduini, Carlos Llera, Dan Mirabile, Mike Lannon, Billy Smith, Wayne Phillips, Doug Reisinger, Tony Nardacci, and Paul Scutieri.
Jimmy K. was presented with a Commemorative HOF certificate acknowledging his many personal and on-field attributes which makes him a distinctive and well respected player/manager in the CDMSBL. Jimmy also received a Giants bat incased and surrounded by Giants paraphernalia. Mario Arduini scoured eBay to find a Juan Marichal endorsed baseball glove from the 1960s....... Jimmys favorite Giant!
It was a great evening spent talking baseball and and baseball and baseball. It was nice to hang out and talk about some of the past games from the CDMSBL, players, situations and why the NY Yankees didnt hit in the playoffs (of course, it was decided A-rod was at fault and should be traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers). Please extend your congratulation to James "Jimmy K." Konstantakis.

A most deserving honor to one of the biggest advocates of CDMSBL. His numerous contributions can only be matched by his humility. Congrats, JK! Jim Porter
Great idea Stevie as Jimmy is unquestionably a role model for what makes the CDMSBL so great for all of us... Man am I happy about this news as even though I've only been in the league a few years, I have seen all that he does for not just his own teams, but for everyone, at every level...
Now of course we all want him in the CDMSBL HOF too, but this is a great way to honor him and I also commend all of you guys on the Giants for doing so... Good job Mario on the glove too, that's cool...
Nice job Giants recognizing one of our league's great gentlemen! Congratulations Jimmy K! It is a well deserved honor and just another good example of how you inspire those around you to do great things! Nice job Louie and Mario! Good luck in Florida Jimmy at the Roy Hobbs tournament!
What a great way to recognize a great guy. Jimmy K symbolizes what this league is all about, and his efforts seem tireless. I had the pleasure of playing for a squad Jimmy took to Florida two years ago, and it's no coincidence that it was the best team showing of the six trips I have made south. He's the ultimate competitor and gentleman rolled into one. He's a master of the intricate strategies of the game, and damn if he can't find a way to get you out when he's on the mound. You dig into the batter's box thinking a comfortable at bat awaits, and then walk back to the bench shaking your head. I think I was 0-for-Jimmy in numerous battles against him this summer. Well-deserved kudos for one of the classiest guys in the league.
For a guy who has a lot to say at times, you have rendered me somewhat speechless.
As I've always said, CDMSBL has brought together so many people who never would have met. Reunited old friends and created new ones. CDMSBL is indeed a family. And to hear all your comments is deeply appreciated and humbling. This is what makes baseball our real National Pastime. And this is why I may be somewhat overprotective of our league.
Steve, the Giants were lucky the day we got you. While this franchise has always been competitive, you, my friend, gave us credibility and personality. The Giants will be in good hands with you at the helm now.
Love you guys and thanx for the comments! They will be cherished forever.
Congradulations Jimmy. That's an honor to have your players and teammates achnowledge your efforts in making the Giants the team that they are. Well deserved.
Jimmy - Congratulations. As my father always said - "Dynamite does come in small packages". Well done by your team mates presenting you with such an honor. You make the CDMSBL proud!
A great honor to a most deserving person...one of the best i have met in my 256 years in baseball...Congrats and a great idea by the guys to honor you and then the Giants sweep...Nothing could have been sweeter. My heartfelt congratulations

TP, thanx much, buddy. Missed you Labor Day weekend.
Giants sweet sweep of Tigers was incredible. After they won in 2010, I was thankful to have finally witnessed a championship before I left this place. To win in twice in three years, simply shocking!
