I want to express my sincere congratulations to the Marlins on their Championship. Over the years in all divisions they have epitomized excellence with a strong will to win and maintain a humble attitude in victory. I have played against you over the years and with you in the inception.... years ago. A great bunch of guys who have represented our league with pride and class. Every team tries to plan their squads with talent to try to knock off the Marlins. 7 Championships in the 45 division which doesn't include the championships in the other division tells you of their determination. Enjoy your victory, you did it against another great team which makes it even sweeter.
i echo all that artie said. the marlins stay sharp year after year. their consistency is amazing. so too is their collective sense of humor. it's a regular thing to hear laughter coming from the marlins' bench not at their foes, but at their own character traits. if you're not playing them, and taking the punch for that, the sound is as pleasurable to hear as the play is to watch.
