... somehow I got on this guy's mailing list. I recently sent one of his emails re: tournament play in Cooperstown. Today, I got the following:
Play at the Plate Announces October Baseball @ Fenway Park
August, 24, 2012
Will there be October Baseball at Fenway Park in 2012?????
If everything falls into place their will be and you could be playing it.
Play at the Plate Baseball has entered into serious negotiations with the Boston Red Sox for an after the regular season, one-day event, similar to the one we held at Wrigley two years ago.
Without going into much detail until all they are all worked out, we have agreed on a rental fee and are awaiting final confirmation from the grounds crew and stadium op's for the go ahead. The front office wants this to happen, and I have a good feeling it will. They are certainly more receptive to this proposal than two years ago ... We are targeting Oct. 13 or 20. That is not in stone ...
For the past 3 years we have brought you to PNC, Progressive, Chase and baseball's other iconic field, Wrigley. Now we have the once in a lifetime chance to play at Fenway. Four teams of 15, locker room, lunch, a gala dinner upstairs after the day, a tour of the park and another cheesy t-shirt for your collection.
We need to know NOW....if you are in or out for this event. If the response is not overwhelming, we are not proceeding. I know Oct./Nov. is a busy time for a lot of you with various WS events going on, but they'll be there forever, this won't!!!
The target price is $1295 per player.
You will be notified when all the particulars come in later this week and when we will open registration.
Need to hear from you guys.

I'll not be putting these messages from him on our Web site all the time, but I thought Cooperstown and a Major League Park might get some guys excited, even at nearly $1300 per.
This is not for LLers; it's for adult baseball players 25 and over.
