If you are not doing anything tonight . . .

. . . head on out to Shuttleworth Park in Amsterdam and watch the 35+ Finals: Game 1!
Every game between the Cubs and Dodgers is worth the trip, but a game one between the 2012 regular season champs (Cubs) and the 2011 defending champs should be outstanding! Grab a bite to eat and head on out to the ball game. First pitch is at 7:00 pm.

Well ~ I would have, seriously...
However, as I am still at the Ritz honeymooning in Amelia Island, well, I'll just have to settle for reading your recaps as rest assurd I will indeed be looking for them...

Plus tell my buddy Jimmy K no worries about the possible Saturday make-up date as the 45 Yanks are getting ready for our playoff run and plan to bring it to your Marlins on Sunday and the Giants will not have to worry about the #1 seed...
I'm more concerned that the Giants win on Saturday and secure the 1 seed only for you to rest key players as you would already be locked into the #2 seed... And well, as bad as I want a W, I'd like it against your best...

Which just for the record, as you informed Jimmy K ( and it was some darn good info I surely had no clue about), well, no #1 seed has won it all in the 45's anyways... Plus, as I recall, the Marlins were like 16-1 last year and had the 1 seed easily sewn up... We (Yankees that is) then proceeded to beat you 3 straight games ~ 1 at the end of the regular season where you rested key guys and then the 2-0 playoff sweep...

Jus sayin...
It's a funny game we all love ain't it tho!!!

Thanks for the BB material.
Rest assured that my guys did not need it, but I will be glad to share it with them.
Have a great rest of your honeymoon, because it will definitely be over on Sunday afternoon.

If anyone is planning on heading out to this premier matchup, it would be greatly appreciated if they could pick up the Championship Trophy on Central Avenue. I got notified that I needed to travel to Des Moines, IA for the week and am unable to grab it. Won't be home until midnight tomorrow night.

My cell is 518/275-2780.

Thanks!

That's exactly why I like you Mike ~ you are competitive AND you can back it up...
As am I ~ and so can I...
In fact, if memory serves me correctly, seems we had the identical conversation right here about this time last year...

Followed by the aforementioned Yankee brooms being brought out to get rid of the fish!

Yep ~ Sunday is sure to be fun, but the playoffs is what I'm really looking forward to as I'm just hoping we get to play you there again as that is indeed "when it really counts"

And Jim, heck, if they use anything I say as BB material against you guys, then they REALLY need help as I am a Yankee now, even if I am southern born and bred!
