On a beautiful day the BlueJays prevailed over the BlackSox in a pitching duel between John Weber and Jerry Solomon. The key to this game was the great defense displayed by the BlueJays especially the outfield that made some very big catches at big moments. The BlueJays scored first on a gapping double by Dwight Partridge to knock in one run with the help of some miscues by the Blacksox the BlueJays platted another 2 runs to take a 3 -0 lead before the BlackSox came back with 2 runs themselves to make it a nail biting game to the end. It really turned into a real great game to play in and watch from a spectator standpoint.
Don, I'm sure this won't be the last of our meeting this season. You have a great bunch of guys on that team.
