Yep, seems obvious to me that you guys (Cubbies), Birds, and defending champ Dodgers are the top 3 and I'd be very surprised if anyone else wins it outside you three... But that's why we play the game, right?
I also heard Shookie is down with a rotator cuff issue and JJ hasn't pitched for the Dodgers this year, so yeah, even steven between you three guys heading into the stretch run...
They can object all they want, the other 3 teams are clearly better all around teams... And besides, we play them tonite, so Mario and his guys can take it out on me on the field... But I doubt they'll prove it against you guys, Cubs, or Birds as one of them is gonna win it all...
Yep, it's that time of year to start talking about playoffs ~ and I can only wish I was on a team even in the conversation as this year has basically sucked for me on every imaginable level ~ even if I am hitting around .500 in both the 35's and 45's ~ I'd trade it for a .000 avg. and some W's... Losing sucks...
If that's the way you want to look at it . . . Come to think of it, there are a few teams that are better than their record may indicate and would be upset with the idea that the championship is between just three teams.
I guess I just learned a few lessons from past indiscretions: try not to give every team in the league bulletin board motivational material.
