Shortage of Players (Cougars).

I hate to complain about a team not being able to field a team, but it's come time to address this issue. (55 division)
This same team has continually had these issues time and tiime again and I'm not going to mention the team by name but ............
I would like to see the board make a ruling on whether or not this team should be able to remain in the 55 division.
It's just not fair to the same teams that never have an issue putting players on the field.
Please, I would like some input from others on this matter.

I would suggest we put a cap on the number of games a team can use borrowed players.

We have 17 on our roster and were short once so far ..... All teams need to do it here and there but there should be a limit.

No more than 25 percent of your games would be a very liberal number and seems more than fair

I agree with Don on this one. Everyone's main goal is to play ball. Without the subs you have to forfeit and 2 teams will be left home sitting on the couch. As long as teams are not bringing in Big Pappi and Ryan Braun who cares.

I notice that the team that was not mentioned by name is 0 - 10 and the team that is complaining is 8 - 3. I don't see where using subs is giving the Cougars a competitive advantage. So what part of their use of subs is "unfair"? Would you prefer that they forfeit?

Don, what on earth has it got to do with giving that team an advantage!!! They don't show, it's been an issue for the last 3-4 years and John Reel and the board has bent over backwards.
In addition, get this one, it was a make up of a game they changed to the game on Tuesday!!! Ok..... They had 5 players available, 5!!!!!
I'm sorry Frank, I know you have tried to do your best and being a manager is not an easy task at that, don't I know.

I understand the voiced concern. Sometimes, however, things simply go wrong. We started the season with 15 on the roster--and, as opening day approached, I drew a huge sigh of relief that we would never need to borrow a player this season. Little did I know....

Our troubles started when 3 guys went down with season-ending injuries. Then, another guy was offered a job that takes him out of the area from Monday through Wednesday. One guy had a play rehearsal he had to attend (yes, the Gray Cougars are indeed a versatile group). Another guy couldn't get off from work for a re-scheduled game (he has to schedule off-days in advance). An even less fortunate guy was going through a divorce trial. And two more guys--well, I guess they were just unexpectedly tied up.

The good news is we had all 12 remaining Gray Cougars at our last game.

The Gray Cougars appreciate everyone's patience. We are especially grateful that even through these difficult days, virtually everyone on opposing teams has been understanding and sympathetic. The guys who play 55+ are truly a special bunch.

Many thanks,

Frank
