The Dodgers played the Vets for the second straight game.
Dodgers open the game with back to back singles by Newcomb and Corrigan and plate one run on a Reed double and another on a Kanellis single to take a 2-0 lead. The Veterans answer with a run in the bottom of the first on a Schoonmaker double and a dribbler to the fence by Hartman (it was actually a bomb).
The Dodgers got that run back in the top of the 2nd on singles by Cortese and Labarge followed by an RBI single by Conlin.
The scoring resumed in the 4th inning on a single and stolen base by Kanellis and an RBI single by Obertubbesing. Vets answer with two in the bottom of the 4th on a Hartman walk, Atwell single and a FC by Wixon followed by a Sac Fly by Vinny Koster to bring the score to 4-3 after four innings.
Dodgers add a run in the 5th on a Labarge single and SB followed by an RBI single by Newcomb followed by a run in the 6th on singles by Reed and Kanellis followed by a Duncan double. The Dodgers then added 3 more in the 7th to take a 9-3 lead on singles by Labarge, Kisselburgh, RBI single by Newcomb, RBI groundout by Corrigan and an RBI single by Hicks.
For the Dodgers Darrell Duncan got the start and the win going six innings followed by Conlin in the 7th.
Dodgers had a hit by all but one player and had Newcomb, Kanellis and Labarge with 3 singles and Reed with a double and single.
The Vets battled all game and have to be the best 0-7 team in the history of the 45's ....... they have had a brutal schedule so far!
