Any news on the Cubs/Dodgers game from the Bob last night?

1-0 Dodgers.
Game called after 6 innings at Bob Moore, so that they could start the Reds vs. Hummnbirds on time.
Great pitching and defense from both clubs!
(Jonny Martin for the Cubs/ Jason Day and Jim Shook for the Dodgers)
I think we need to move the can't start another inning rule back to 8:00 pm.
This was a fast moving, well played game that was only allowed to go 6 innings because 7:45 pm came before the 7th inning could get started.

Yeah, I agree > If the divisions 2 best teams locked in a well played 1-0 game can not get it in, then nobody can...
Tough loss for Jonny and the Cubs, but wow, awesome game...
Is that even up to us though or does Bob Moore dictate such down to us???

Bob Moore / officials dictate what time the lights go off and the park closes so the neighbors don't complain and night games get cancelled altogether.

It is up to us to set the other time limits so both games get a reasonable amount of time.

My understanding in this particular case is the game started late because one of the teams took infield practice despite 545 rolling around ........ so if you don't start on time there is no argument to allow the first game to run late.

Both of the night games we have played so far did not go the full 7 either.

The solution would be a 530 start ...... or one i have pushed all along is to speed up the time between innings ..... right from the start of the game and not just in the 5th or 6th inning when it becomes apparent that the whole game won't be played.

If anyone has any other ideas let em rip.

Tough situation over there - potential is there to impact two games every time we use it.
Starting earlier would help, although it is always a problem for guys to get there early.

I recommend just slotting one game there - we know it will get played to conclusion - just need to find a home for the remaining 8:15 starts - which is a ridiculous time slot anyway. I'm sure the H-birds loved getting home around 11:30 monday...

I agree. See if Bob Moore can give us another night for games and move the 8:15 slot to that night. I was told that the enrollment is so far down in the Scotia Babe Ruth, that this should be a possibility. I don't think that anyone would cry about losing 8:15 pm games.

I've asked them for 7:00 p.m. start times and have been politely told no. They have had a lot of makeups as well and we have been booking a lot of the 'open' nights for our rainouts. Although I'm sure they would accomodate our starting at 7 pm if we paid for two games.

Start the game on time and hustle in/out after innings. It hasn't been a major problem in recent years.
