The Dodgers managed to match their win total from last year in just the 4th game of the season with a 12-9 victory over the Reds.

Dodgers loaded the bases in the bottom of the 3rd on singles by Obertubbesing and Cortese then plated two runs on an error followed by a 2 RBI single by Caputo who then scored on a fielders choice.
Reds scored in the top of the 4th on a single by Schiilinger who scored on a fielders choice.
Dodgers got that run back in bottom of the 4th to take a 6-2 lead on a double by Field who scored on a wild pitch.
The Dodgers leadoff hitter reached base on an error in the bottom of the 5th then after a flyout consecutive singles by Corrigan, Caputo, Kanellis, Hicks, Bonaparte and Labarge and then a two out single by Obertubbesing led to 6 more runs and a 12-2 lead.
The Reds got right back in the game with 7 runs in the top of the 6th .... singles by McCarthy, Trembly, Collins, Burns and Class along with a double by Handford and a couple of walks led to those runs.
Jim Hicks, who had relieved in the 6th, threw a 1-2-3 seventh inning with two K's to end the game.
For the Dodgers Jim Bonaparte got the start and the win, Ralph Caputo came on in relief and threw well then Jim Hicks finished up.

Reds had Trembly with a double and a single, Martin two singles, Carrecia led off the game with a double off the fence, Handford doubled and Burns, Class, McCarthy, both Schillingers, and Collins singled.
