the Good , the Bad , and the Ugly would describes the game. The bad: 3 field changes in 8 hours! haha The Ugly: The Field!!Mound soupy and batters box soupy. The Good, the defending CHAMPS open up their season with a 3-2 victory over the Yankees. Yankees rally in the late innning shortened game due to darkness in the bottom of the 5th with the winning run on 1st base but fell a little short. SHOOK was his stellar self strikiing out 6! allowing 1 BB and NO HITS! Novak came in relief and Yankees put some men on and plated 2 runs and had men on 2nd and first with 1 out. But Novak closed the door! GREAT GAME and the champs played like the champions they are!They took advantage of some errors on the yankees side to take the 2-0 advantage in the 1st inning, this giving Shook all the room he needed! 2 runs for him may as well be a 100. Herrlett gave up 5 hits 6 k's and 2 walks in the losing effort. Good luck the rest of the way and catch you on the rematch !
