ladies and gents of cdmsbl: it's that "it doesn't get any better than this" time.

but, come to think of it, if you're a baseball or cdmsbl fan, it may not.

on saturday, march 3rd, at the marriott on wolf road, your baseball league will
be offering you a night of fine vittles, fine drinking (especially if you're a
connoisseur of kegged beer), fine dancing, and more (that "more" is so
spectacular, it cannot fairly be described here), all for the rock-bottom low, low
price of $15 per person.

that's less than a movie and box of popcorn.

and you can't dance at movies.

or talk baseball.

last year we had a grand time, with about 150 people eating and drinking and
jabbering away and more than a few daring souls dancing, in public, to some lively dj'd music.

we'd like to surpass those numbers this year.

the party (or parteeeeee) will start at 6 p.m., with a cheese and vegetable
buffet and drinks. dinner follows at 7:15, with choices of beef, chicken and
veggie lasagna. after speeches, which promise to be mercifully short and,
cross your fingers, howlingly funny, dancing will commence at 9. the party
should wind down around 11, or when knees give out.

and if guys escort their wives or women friends, we should be able to have
intelligent conversations. not to mention dancing partners.

there will also be three half kegs of beer, all of it free, for as long as it lasts, or
its imbibers do.

we'll have two special presentations: one to ralph caputo, for induction into the
league's hall of fame, and a posthumous one for the late dodger manager ralph
marrero.

again all of this, the buffet, the meal, the dancing, the knee-slapping speeches,
is just $15.00 a person!

tables of 8 to 10 seats can be reserved for teams. sorry, no discounts this year
for reserved tables.

but, as the tv ad says, time is ticking. so, please write a check ($15 per person)
