Bob Bolt, has to be the MVP OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP. He has a great team behind him. So now the 35 division Dodgers can say they have players on their team who won the Championship in the 25s, 35s and now with BOBBY BOLT THE 45s. Wonder if we will hear complaints about The Giants pitching.? How humble one can get. lol

Greetings from Charlotte. I have been watching my former teammates with great interest this year. Jimmy K has kept me on the e-mail distribution list all summer so I have kept in touch with the guys. I am so proud of the way they played and how they carried themselves all year.
I had to write a little perspective on Bob Bolt for those of you who do not know him all that well. I first met Bob in 1996, he was playing for the Reds in the 30 and over division. He had not thrown in a game since High School and in the third inning of his first game he injured his elbow.
Fast forward a few years and I took over managing the Orioles. One of the players I recruited told me about Bobby and how we should get him on the team. At first I thought I didn't need another outfielder but said OK. That turned out to be a blessing. Bob was a major contributor with his bat, legs and great outfield defense on our first championship in 2002. At first Bob didn't pitch all that much, his elbow still hurting. As he regained arm strength he became a dominant pitcher in all three divisions. Bob won a couple of championships in the 35+ division with the "Aging" Orioles and now a couple with the Giants in the 45+ division. In both Giants championship runs Bob has been voted the MVP of the playoffs.
However the best thing about Bob Bolt is he is a great teammate and human being.
