Fall Ball Sunday at 2PM

Hey Guys,

Another very successful Fall Ball Scrimmage this past Sunday with a great turnout and lot of fun. Were doing it again this Sunday at 2pm at Southgate and the weather forecast
seems very favorable. I expect from calls and emails we'll have another good turnout.

Also I want to thank Mike Hart and Mike Eplite as well as the rest of you for the nice comments on your posts. I probably should retire now while I'm ahead! But thanks again
and I probably will give you guys more to talk about in the future. By the way Mike, Kevin forgot to put on his glasses when he was catching. It was a great pitch.

Artie G.

I have definitely become part of the "Everybody Loves Artie" cadre myself. You are quite the man Artie and not only do I appreciate you allowing me to play with you and the guys last weekend, but I'm curious as to how the nomination and voting process for Hall of Fame induction works? I'm thinking you may well be a "first ballot" guy as well as a couple of my Yankee teammates whom aren't already in. Though I'm obviously relatively new to this and only been around a couple years, I think it's clear D2 (Donnie Dunham of course) is worthy of serious consideration, as well as John Kalinsky... And I would not want to leave Cos outta the discussion either...

Anyways, while I kinda just want to focus on the LONG awaited Championship for this weekend, a BIG part of the reason I am so intent on winning it is not just my naturally competitive juices/nature from a personal standpoint, but because I want it for D2, JK, Kevin (not Reggie) Jackson, and Todd... I don't really want to give the Giants any bulletin board material, but I can gauran-damn-tee you I have a very healthy confidence in the way we have gelled and I am gonna lay my soul out to bare on the field @ New Scotland this weekend ~ But not for myself... Err, at least not primarily...

I mean I really, REALLY want this thing BAD ~ and for ALL the great guys on the team ~ but mainly for John, Kevin, and Donnie (you too Jack ~ but they have done LOTS of "league things" thru the years) have grown to accept and love me despite my odd little idiosyncrasies over the last couple of years (hey, we all got 'em boys)...
Darrin is my #1 guy and we've grown close this year and Jack is possibly the best all-around athlete in the league (Luonello (sp) is my other candidate on that one) as well as close friend from the last couple of years, and I could mention each and every other Yankee here too ~ BUT I WON'T...
AT least not now...

Because I keep coming back in my mind to getting this thing for John, Donnie, and Kevin... I'm just getting to know Todd and damn he's crazy as hell ~ crazier then me in fact, which I like... But damn, he's a founder of the league for God's sake ~ I think that says it all...

But since Kevin and Todd already have their obviously well deserved spots in the Hall, I am intent that after helping to give them a Championship, I'd like to see Donnie, John, and Artie formally nominated...

And yeah, yeah, I understand we could all list our personal preferences for such accolades, keeping it "exclusive" in nature, and all the other philosophical arguments of the devil's advocate side of things ~ and that's precisely why I am asking about the process... I simply want information on how to go about the process of nominating people, especially guys I see as "first ballot" no-brainers...

So anyways ~ there you have it...
Just thought I'd bring it up for discussion and would appreciate any info anyone cares to share with me...
And plus I seem to have earned quite a reputation (deserved or not) for being Marcus Aurelius, and well hell, I wouldn't want to disappoint...
AND ~ AND ~ Donnie's so damned funny, he says I'll be a guru here in NO TIME! So I'm just trying to get to that status too!

And Artie ~ you might just see me there Sunday if I am going thru withdrawl and need my baseball fix on Sunday...
But I certainly hope and expect to be celebrating...

One way or the other!

Go Yankees!

HOF nominations occur with present HOF'ers. they go thru a process to select candidates for BOD approval. and its that time of year. jreel

Kevin Jackson, as a Hall of Famer that has been through the nomination and voting process, can explain the process to you more fully.
