Just wanted to say thank you to Q and Donnie Wixon and the others for putting in the hard work to pull off a great tournament. We had weather issues during both games on Sunday but were able to get them in. Unfortunately, the heavy rains came down just minutes after we sewed up the 45+ championship...meaning we didn't get an opportunity to hang and celebrate there at the diamond. As expected, we had a wonderful time over Labor Day Weekend and I hope that the Maine Indians squad gets an opportunity to defend our title in 2012.
John...I was asking looking for you but unfortunately our games did not match up at the same location. When I come down to Albany, you are one of the folks I look forward to seeing. Sorry I didn't get to catch up with ya! Donnie Dunham told me you were playing and made a great play in right field. I hope all is well...I will spread the word for sure. And there may be a 45 division next year in Portland.
Great seeing you, Cowboy, Doc, and other Mainers. That was a nice squad you put together. Ed Simmons, hell of a hitter! I ran out of gas in that 6th inning or that semi-final may have ended differently!!
Jonny, you did an awesome job out there on the hill. That semifinal game against you and the Yankees was the Real Championship game. It was tight all the way. Glad I got to see you - hope that we can be teammates again some time down the road.
