The Maine Indians are once again excited to be playing in the 45+ Division in this years Labor Day Tournament. In addition to being a very good baseball and a great time at a well run event, it gives us a chance to get on the field with most of the guys that make up the team we play with at the Roy Hobbs World Series in Florida.
This years event runs from October 30th to November 5th and the Indians will be looking to defend their "A" Division title from 2010. We are still looking however for a catcher that could handle 2 or 3 games and perhaps play some outfield as well. The tournament is 48+ but we have waivers available for non-pitchers as young as 45.
It's a fun group of guys, we play games at the Spring Training facilities of the Red Sox and Twins and Fort Myers is a great place to spend a week that time of year.
Please let me know if you are interested, and we'll see you next weekend.
