Nice to finally start the season. The Yankees are a great team, first class, but they were missing a few key players. Even so, they left the tying run on 3rd in the bottom of the seventh. I nearly swallowed my tongue. Mike Kane pitched for the Bucs, and both runs were unearned. We're 1-0. JP

for an umpire clinic Saturday April 2 at Shaker High School. (9:00am - 11:00am) It is an instructional class for new CD umps. They need pitchers and catchers so umpires can learn the mechanics of working behind the plate. If you want to get some throwing in, call Make Maksymik 393-7818.
